Brian Bell is a student at Yasiro Academy, a local genius, a friend of Cleopatra, and primary love interest of Akila.
Story[]
Book 1[]
Cleo is introduced to Brian by Akila. Cleo fiddles with one of his gadgets, and dismisses Cleo after she deduces he likes Akila.
He later gifts her her sphinx bike at her birthday, and is last seen helping set up the winter dance.
Book 2[]
he briefly talks to Cleo and Zaid at the dance, before she leaves with zaid.
brian tries to talk to her again later, but is similarly blown off.
it is revealed he was trying to show her a book Akila found, being the Seba. He then recites the legend of how the deity Thoth created the time tablets, and explains that the ata tablet sent her through time, and the Uta could send her back. Akila is bummed out after cleo expresses her desire to leave, as Brian fills cleo in on just how much she means to akila. He and Khensu later take The two, along with Zaid, on a trip to Hykosis in search of the tablets, where they are attacked by octavian.
Book 3[]
After Zaid provokes The xerx fleet to attack them, Brian escapes to Hykosis with Cleo and Akila. He stays behind to set up a distress beacon, and is later seen at the end of the book having made Akila's new arm
Book 4[]
Brian helps out cleo's journey to Cada'duun by outfitting her bike with a cheetah cell, and providing her with a snowsuit. offscreen he tells akila about her trip, and from there akila tells khensu, who tells everyone else, leading to a strike team taking out xerx forces on the planet. Brian goes off to learn from the scientists on the planet
Book 5[]
Brian works with Talibath to make a planetary shield to defend against Octavian. Brian is promoted to ensign. Before the two leave after a short visit, Akila kisses Brian on the cheek and Talibath comments that Brian is letting her get away, which he is not amused by. Brian later runs a test on Cleo's body and determines that her power needs to be regularly expelled to keep her safe, as well as expresses disdain for antony. After Talibath's death, Brian teleports Cleo, Mihos, and Akila to his hideout, where he helps devise a plan to get to Yosira to warn her of the traitor and clear Cleo's name. When octavian attacks, the traitor tries to shut down the shield, and Brian and akila go to try and fix it. It is revealed to be Administrant Kek, who akila stuns. Brian begins to work on the sheild to try and recover it, but is unsuccessful. the school is evacuated, brian included, and mayet is destroyed.
Book 6[]
After Hasilrig's capture and Javel's death on a mission in which Cleo destroys the golden lion, Brian and Akila help console Cleo after she blames herself for failing everyone. after a pep talk, he gifts her a new crown, with an invisibility button and translator. Brian reveals that he helped Cloak a planet to hold refugees from Octavian's conquest. he shows them that a small chunk of the golden lion is the power source. when Antony arrives on the planet after fleeing Hykosis, he admits Antony is kinda cute before he and Antony are zapped to The Duat alongside Cleo. the three are separated, and Antony and Brian meet offscreen and meet up with Thoth, and introduces him to Cleo. It is said that Brian was in shock, and doing complex calculations to keep himself sane, as well as the fact that he and Antony had quickly become friends, citing the latter's charming nature. Cleo also reveals he is in love with Akila to Antony. After returning to help fight Octavian, Brian helps Set up Akila's arm to fire the remaining golden lion plasma at Octavian to try and defeat him. After octavian and anubis' defeat, Brian and Akila share a kiss. Brian is later there to see Cleo return from the past to visit them at the end of the series.
